Logan Paul vs. Dillon Danis: The Battle of the Crypto Scammers

Logan Paul and Dillion Danis have been engaged in a heated feud for the past few months, and their fame has drawn considerable attention to uncovering the specifics of their ongoing dispute.

These well-known celebrities have made the headlines not just for their fame but also for their involvement in a couple of crypto projects. Despite their online presence, their involvement in these projects has sparked controversies and led to doubts about their credibility.

Today, we’ll not only uncover the specifics of their ongoing dispute, but we’ll also take a look at some of their controversial stories in the crypto space.

Logan Paul: His Pump-and-Dump Allegations

Logan Paul, the YouTuber turned boxer is a popular influencer who has a massive social status with millions of active followers on his various social media platforms. However, his venture into the crypto space has come with a lot of controversy.

  • The Shitcoin that ended up in the Dump

Back in 2021, Logan Paul introduced his followers to “Dink Doink”, a shitcoin he referred to as the dumbest and most ridiculous thing he had ever seen. He was probably leaning toward the absurdity of the project and even went as far as recording an anthem for it!

There were many concerns regarding the project.

One of them was that the project seemed to be completely owned by whales; 80% of the supply was owned by the top 100 wallets. So it wasn’t surprising when the project ended up in the dump and the official website suddenly vanished.

But Dink Doink’s failure is not the only crypto project on his checklist.

  • $ZOO’s Boom to Bust

Shortly after Dink Doink ended up in the dump, Mr. Paul introduced the world to another project in August of the same year, ‘CryptoZoo’ (i.e., an NFT collection that uses P2E). According to him, he was the one heading the project.

Logan Paul heavily promoted it on his social media channels, drawing the attention of his massive fan base. He later mentioned and applauded the efforts of his project’s team on Impaulsive, his popular podcast.

He continued to market his project to the crypto community, and even without an official launch, his marketing and promises led to not only the sales of 2.5 million dollars worth of Eggs on the first day of the pre-launch but also the surging value of the $ZOO token, which skyrocketed to a market capitalization of over $2 billion before the project’s official launch.

At this point, it really looked like everything was going well with the project, but that wasn’t the case; similar to Dink Doink, there were several suspicious activities on CryptoZoo. Despite the hype surrounding the project, it failed to deliver on its promises.

Eventually, the project faded into obscurity, and Paul’s involvement in it became less prominent, leaving many of his followers wondering about the project’s future.

Following the shocking revelation of Coffeezilla, an online investigator who covers online scams and fraudulent projects, last December, Mr. Paul released a video apologizing to the Coffeezilla and CryptoZoo community and laying out his plan for the project moving forward.

In this video, Logan Paul promised a refund program for disappointed Base Egg and Base Animals holders who wanted to burn their base egg or base animal.

Sadly, up until now, he has not fulfilled his promise, and there has been no refund.

Dillon Danis: Dubious Promotions and Questionable Endorsements

And on the other side of the ring, there is Dillon Danis, an MMA fighter who also found his way into the crypto space, leveraging his fame to promote various crypto assets.

Notwithstanding, Dillion has also had his fair share of controversies in the crypto space.

Dillon Danis recently fell into the trap of the popular online investigator, Coffeezilla, who tricked him into promoting a fake NFT project. Coffeezilla further revealed that 5000 USDC was paid to him for a 24-hour post; after posting, he didn’t disclose that it was an advertisement.

He enthusiastically promoted this fake NFT project on his social handle without checking any details of the project.

It gets even more interesting because the link that was supposedly given to his followers to mint the NFTs redirects them to another website that displays a detailed breakdown of the alleged crypto scams that he had previously promoted.

Mr. Danis has endorsed and promoted many projects that turned out to be scams, often touting them as groundbreaking investments without questioning the fundamentals of these projects.

Similar to Logan Paul, Dillon Dannis has also faced increased scrutiny and backlash for zero due diligence and a lack of clarity regarding the crypto projects he has promoted. His endorsements and promotions were frequently accompanied by huge deposits into his wallet, which looked like the only thing he ever cared about.

It turns out that Dillon Dannis had even criticized Logan Paul, lashing out at him for scamming his followers and showing sympathy for the victims of the rug-pulls while he keeps promoting crypto scams.

The Lessons Learned

Both Logan Paul and Dillon Danis leveraged their massive social media reach to promote scam crypto projects. These influencers do not seem to really care about what happens to their followers but are rather concerned with how much goes into their bags.

Another common thread in their crypto endeavors was their lack of transparency, which is why investors should do their due diligence in learning about the project’s technology, roadmap, and teams.

Lastly, don’t fall for the hype; instead, look for solid fundamentals and a transparent team behind the project.

Battleline Drawn: Logan Paul vs. Dillon Danis

In an amazing turn of events, these influencers are gearing up for a boxing match in October, and the two of them have wasted no time going back and forth with one another in the lead-up to this fight.

This fight is set to take place on October 14 at the AO Arena in Manchester, England.
